Sca.Int, Verge, TeK-9 Merge

The three American Clans Sca, verGe, and TeK-9 announced today that they were merging. The new clan, which will play under the Starcoma Tagan International name, will have seven managers and 29 players.

“The American scene is getting much more competitive,” said manager sCa.Pootie, formerly of verGe. “We felt we had to do something to keep us on top.”

Pootie went on to state he was getting a “raging clue.”

Some commentators argued the merge did more harm than good, and that few of the players would get playing time. Co-manager sCa.Jase (formerly TeK-9) disagreed, pointing to the numerous leagues they played in. “Maybe not everyone will get WC3L time,” he said, “but there will be playing time for everyone. Sonkie and StrifeCro, they will have W3AL to play in, so everyone’s happy.”

Jase then mentioned that TeK-9 had never lost a league match.

The newly formed team is currently competing in nine leagues, including WC3L and both NGL-1 and NGL-2.

Satiini wins online Tournament

Finnish Warcraft player fnatic.Satiini won Winter Incup #7 (http://incup.de) this Sunday, defeating undead player mTw.Protois in the finals by a score of three to two.

Many were surprised by the victory by the relatively unknown player. Finnish WCG champion r-Code.Sein mentioned he had never heard of the player, despite being of the same nationality. “He wasn’t at WCG, no one saw him, and now he’s winning incup. I think at this moment we’re all wondering if he’s really even Finnish or if he even exists.”

Incup staff confirmed that Satiini was indeed Finnish and was indeed a person.

Others were excited at the new star. “It’s great to see some new players out there,” said
4K.Grubby. “I hope we’ll see this guy next ESWC.”

fnatic.elfitaaja, generally regarded as the most talented Finnish player, stood up for his clanmate. “Yeah he hasn’t won any real tournaments yet,” he commented, “but it will happen. He has the skills, I see no reason he won’t break out this year.”

WGDF qualifies for The Frozen League

Frozen League (http://tf-league.com) today announced that Battle.net forum clan WGDF (short for Warcraft General Discussion Forum) had been accepted into the regular season of the league.

A spot in the league opened after the merger of clans ToT and AU. Controversy over the spot arose after it was suggested that there were better teams than the natural successor to the spot, the Italian clan cubesports.

“Once realized it didn’t have to be cube, we saw it could be anyone at all,” said league head admin TFL|Baba. “It was like the floodgates were open.”

WGDF has an impressive list of accomplishments, including having nearly one hundred members, and having one member of a top 50 Two versus Two team. WGDF leader Darkjaws stated, in response to the announcement, that the “PROTOTRASH WILL DIE,” but did not clarify the statement.

The decision was a controversial one. While cubesports stated they would accept TFL’s decision, clan H2K claimed the spot should have gone to them, despite their recent TGL loss to cubesports.

“These Yank Wigger Charlies are taking our spot, are they,” said H2K manager Rhonin. “TFL will find out how much they like Bush-worshippers and wetbacks in their league.”

Rhonin declined to explain his comments, stating he had a Neo-Nazi rally to attend.
